SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship: India's squad

India announces 23 members squad for SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship, to be played at Bangladesh.

Indian team will leave for Bangladesh on Tuesday before playing their opening match against Bhutan on February 2. India will face Bangladesh on February 4 and Nepal on February 6.


The squad of 23 players has been announced by India's head coach Shukla Dutta for the forthcoming SAFF U-19 Women's Championship.

The BSSS Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka will host all of the matches leading up to the final on February 8. India will be participating in the tournament for the fifth time. The last U-19 edition in 2021 witnessed the Indian team finishing runners-up to hosts Bangladesh.


India's only victory at the competition came in the U-18 division in 2022, when it defeated Bangladesh in the role of host.


Indian squad is as under:

Goalkeepers: Khushi Kumari, Anika Devi Sharubam and Hempriya Seram.

Defenders: Heena Khatun, Vikshit Bara, Sonibia Devi Irom, Juhi Singh and Nishima Kumari.

Midfielders: Shivani Toppo, Lalita Boypai, Akhila Rajan, Rivka Ramji, Arina Devi Nameirakpam, Cindy Remruatpuii Colney, Menaka Devi Lourembam, Sibani Devi Nongmeikapam and Thoibisana Chanu Toijam.

Forwards: Babita Kumari, Nitu Linda, Sulanjana Raul, Neha and Pooja, Sahena TH.

February 2: India vs Bhutan, 2.30 PM IST

February 4: Bangladesh vs India, 6.30 PM IST

February 6: India vs Nepal, 2.30 PM IST


February 8: Final (Top two teams), 5.30 PM IST
