On Sunday, February 4, Indian team decisively defeated Pakistan 3-0 in the first leg of a five-match game in Islamabad, securing their place in the Davis Cup World Group I. Yuki Bhambri and Saketh Myneni won the doubles match in the tie, defeating Muzammil Murtaza and Aqeel Khan 6-2, 7-6 (7/5) after winning their individuals two singles matches yesterday. Australian Open 2024: Novak Djokovic reaches Quarter-Finals Novak Djokovic's determined walk towards a record 25th Grand Slam title accumulated pace on Sunday as he outmatched 20th seed Adrian Mannarino to reach the quarter-finals of the Australian Open. The Serbian Legend totally dominated his French rival on Rod Laver Arena, winning 6-0, 6-0, 6-3 and underlining his status as red-hot favourite to lift an 11th title at Melbourne Park. Up next for Djokovic is Fritz, who defeated Greek seventh seed Tsitsipas 7-6 (7-2) 5-7 6-3 6-3 to reach his  first Australian Open quarter-final. Fritz and Djokovic met in the third round of the 2021 Australian Open, with the Serb winning in five sets. India's highest level men's singles tennis player Sumit Nagal confirmed his fourth Grand Slam main draw appearance - and his first beginning around 2021 - on Friday, January 12, 2024. The 26-year-old defeated Slovakia's Alex Molcan to arise triumphant 6-4, 6-4 in his last Australian Open 2024 qualifying round at Melbourne Park. Nagal was off the blocks rapidly, dashing away to a 3-0 lead in the main set by splitting Molcan's serve immediately. The Jhajjar player broke again at 5-4 to take the principal set 6-4.
