The Ram Mandir Consecration, also known as Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram Lalla is scheduled for the upcoming Paush Shukla Kurma Dwadashi, Vikram Samvat 2080, according to the Hindu calendar, between 12:15 pm and 12:45 pm. And, it falls on January 22 (Monday) as per the Gregorian calendar.

Event Date and Venue: The auspicious Prana Pratishtha yoga of the Deity of Bhagwan Shri Ram Lalla arrives on the approaching Paush Shukla Kurma Dwadashi, Vikram Samvat 2080, i.e., Monday, the 22nd of January 2024.

 

 

Why was January 22 chosen for the Ram Mandir Consecration Ceremony?

January 22 is the Dwadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Pausha month in the Hindu calendar. According to mythology, it is the same day when Lord Vishnu took the form of a tortoise to help Amrit Manthan(Ocean Churning).

 

Other than this, the date falls in the Mrigashira Nakshatra constituting three auspicious yogas, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, Amrit Siddhi Yoga and Ravi Yoga. Hence, January 22 holds great cultural, mythological and astronomical significance.

Darshan Timings:  7:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 02:00 PM to 07:00 PM

Shringar Aarti : 06:30 AM

Bhog Aarti : 12:00 PM

Sandhya Aarti: 07:30 PM

 

Ram Mandir will be open for devotees from January 23. The darshan timings for Ram Mandir Ayodhya are divided into two slots. Also, three aartis will take place each day. People can book passes online or at the temple to attend Ram Lalla aarti depending on slot availability.
