U 19 Cricket World Cup: Indian beat NZ by 214 runs

Indian boys thrashed New Zealand boys by 214 runs in a Super Six encounter of ICC U19 World Cup at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein on Tuesday.

After smashing 131 off 126 balls and returning with imprtant bowling spell of 2-10, Musheer Khan was declared the Player of the Match. India scored 295/8 in 50 overs when Uday Sharan, the captain, played a knock of 34 and Adarsh Singh hammered 52 when put in to bat first.

Mason Clarke took four wickets for New Zealand, limiting India to 300 runs.

In the chase, spinner Saumy Pandey wrecked havoc with 4-19 to demolish the Kiwi batting line-up, bowling them out for 81 in 28.1 overs after Raj Limbani (2-17) claimed two wickets in the first over of the innings.

On Friday, India will play their final Super Six encounter against Nepal.
