Munawar wins Big Boss 17

The Winner not only wins the Trophy but also Rs. 50 lakhs cash Prize and a Brand New Hyundai Creta.

Finally, Bigg Boss 17 has a champion after three months of challenges, fighting, switching allegiances, and a ton of drama. The winner was revealed by host Salman Khan on Monday just after midnight in front of the top two finalists, Abhishek Kumar and Munawar Faruqui. After a closely contested final, stand-up comic Munawar Faruqui emerged victorious over Abhishek.

From the start, both Abhishek and Munawar were heavy favorites to win the championship. Abhishek relied on his enormous fame from television, while Munawar brought with him his victory from a similar reality program set in incarceration, which he won in 2022. As they went down the tunnel together, Munawar and Abhishek started crying before leaving the Bigg Boss house.

Stand-up comic Munawar Faruqui is well-liked but sometimes contentious. 2020 saw the start of his comedic career with a video on his YouTube page, and later that year, he transitioned to stand-up comedy. His stand-up show in Indore sparked controversy in January 2021 when the son of a BJP MLA accused him of promoting intolerance and making hurtful jokes about Hindu deities. According to India's laws against hate speech, Munawar was detained for 37 days before being released the following month. Protests and criticism followed his detention.

In February 2022, Munawar started his experience on reality shows with the premiere of Kangana Ranaut's Lock Upp season 1. Munawar's fame grew even further after he emerged victorious from the competition. Munawar came into the Bigg Boss house with the intention of repeating his triumph from Lock Upp in this round.
