In a thrilling showdown during the 6th match of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024, the UP Warriorz stunned the cricket world by claiming a remarkable 7-wicket victory over the Mumbai Indians Women. Despite the Mumbai side posting a respectable total of 161/6 in their allotted 20 overs, the UP Warriorz chased down the target with incredible efficiency, reaching 163/3 in just 16.3 overs.

The Mumbai Indians Women's innings was characterized by solid batting performances, with Hayley Matthews leading the charge with a gritty knock of 55 runs off 47 balls. Supported by valuable contributions from Yastika Bhatia, who scored 26 runs off 22 balls, and Amelia Kerr, with 23 runs from 16 balls, MIW managed to set a competitive target. However, the UP Warriorz bowlers displayed discipline and shared the wickets evenly, with each bowler claiming a scalp to restrict the opposition.

In response to Mumbai's challenging total, the UP Warriorz embarked on a sensational run chase, laying the foundation for victory with a magnificent opening partnership.
