MIW struggled to build momentum throughout their innings, with S Sajana being the highest scorer with 30 runs off 21 balls and Hayley Matthews contributing 26 runs off 23 balls. However, no other MIW batter managed to cross the twenties mark. The standout performer with the ball for RCBW was Ellyse Perry, who delivered a lethal spell, claiming 6 wickets for just 15 runs in her quota of 4 overs.

In response to the modest target, RCBW faced some early setbacks, losing their openers Mandhana and Sophie Molineux. However, Ellyse Perry showcased her all-round prowess, anchoring the innings with a crucial knock of 40 runs off 38 balls. She received valuable support from Richa Ghosh, who scored 36 runs off 28 balls. Despite some resistance from MIW bowlers such as Shabnim Ismail, Hayley Matthews, and Nat Sciver-Brunt, who each took 1 wicket, RCBW comfortably chased down the target in 15 overs, winning by 7 wickets.

The match was dominated by Ellyse Perry's exceptional performance, both with the ball and the bat, earning her the well-deserved Player of the Match title. Despite a few early hiccups in the chase, RCBW remained composed and controlled throughout, securing a crucial victory.

With this win, RCBW bounced back from their previous narrow loss against table-toppers DC.
