Winning the toss and electing to bowl first, the Mumbai Indians Women capitalized on their decision by restricting the hosts to a modest total of 131/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Despite a shaky start where openers Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine departed early, Ellyse Perry steadied the innings with an unbeaten knock of 44 runs off 38 balls. Additionally, contributions from Georgia Wareham (27 off 20 balls) helped RCBW set a target of 132 for the Mumbai Indians Women.

In response, the Mumbai Indians Women's opening pair of Hayley Matthews (26 off 21 balls) and Yastika Bhatia (31 off 15 balls) laid a solid foundation for the chase. Nat Sciver-Brunt (27 off 25 balls) and the outstanding performance by Player of the Match, Amelia Kerr (40* off 24 balls), ensured Mumbai's comfortable victory. Despite efforts from RCBW bowlers Sophie Devine, Georgia Wareham, and Shreyanka Patil, who managed to claim a wicket each, Mumbai's batters maintained control throughout the innings.

With this win, the Mumbai Indians Women continue their dominance in the tournament, maintaining a perfect record against the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women with three consecutive victories. Mumbai's comprehensive performance included 22 boundaries, displaying their prowess with the bat. On the other hand, RCB managed 14 boundaries, falling short in both departments.

Overall, Mumbai's strategic approach, clinical execution, and balanced contributions from their players proved too much for RCBW to handle, securing another convincing win for the Mumbai Indians Women in the WPL 2024.
