BCCI unveils IPL 2024 Schedule: CSK vs RCB in the Opener

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the schedule for the much-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. The announcement, made on Thursday, has set the stage for an exciting tournament kick-off with defending champions Chennai Super Kings locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai on March 22 at the iconic Chepauk stadium.

However, the schedule unveiled covers only the initial 21 matches of the tournament. Fans can expect the fixtures for the remaining games to be announced in due course, adding to the suspense and anticipation surrounding the league.

Apart from the 10 cities already designated as hosts for the first 21 matches, the league stage is set to expand to include Delhi, Dharamshala (home ground of Punjab Kings), and Guwahati (home ground of Rajasthan Royals). Notably, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals will continue to play two home games each at their alternative venues, adding a unique dimension to their fixtures.
